Labor day sends kids back to school, initiates a new football season, and officially ends the summer season. With fall we look forward to next season and getting the turf re-established, stronger, and healthier. Core aerating with overseeding and a fertilizer in Sept/Oct sets up the turf for success next summer. Turf that is more dense is more weed resistant, needs less irrigation, and filters our groundwater providing us with a high quality environment.A quick call or email to be sure that we have you on our aerating schedule is best! Better safe than too late...

Hot and humid weather is prime for fungal disease in fescue turf.  Look for brown spots in the lawn, they are typically round spots but they can appear oblong as well. If you think you have fungus, take a pic of your lawn and email it to us to diagnose. Fungicide treatments can be applied. Ways to avoid fungal disease: Always water in the morning so the grass blades can properly dry, and keep the grass height at least 3.5" or taller.
